Question 1: When will it be done?
Dylan: Depending on Madison’s design efforts.. we will hopefully have it done by the end of the year!
Madison: Well….. we were shooting for the end of summer… but, life took over. we are in no rush andwilling to take our time to make it perfect!! (or at least i am!)
Question 2: Are you going to move out and live in it?
Dylan: I’m not planning on it, unless i get kicked out! Do you know something I don’t?
Madison: I love how small it is for traveling, but let’s get real! We all know my shoes wouldn’t even fit in that thing, let alone all of my clothes!
Question 3: Are there any campsites you are really excited about visiting once the camper is done?
Dylan: I have family with a house on Lake Hartwell, so being able to camp near them will be fun!
Madison: I’m actually really excited to just go to campsites! We haven’t talked specifics yet, but if anyone has suggestions on their favorites let us know in the comments!
Question 4: Is there any part of this journey you are NOT particularly looking forward to?
Dylan: Probably the exterior. Just getting it moveable and researching all of the best ways since I don’t know as much about that.
Madison: I am not looking forward to sweating in the 1000 degree Georgia heat, but I am super excited about making progress and sharing it with y’all!
Question 5: What colors do y’all plan to use?
Madison: Our plan is to use neutrals like white, grey, and black while also adding in pops of wood, and metal. We want it to feel super open! Also, we will have a post soon on our design plan! so stay tuned for that!!
Dylan: ^^^ She is in charge of design… I’m just here to make sure it rolls and is functional!
Question 6: Will there be bunkbeds for the kids?
Dylan: Well our “children” (aka dogs) now will sleep wherever they end up
Madison: Nope! They will stay with their Uncle Corbin if need be!
Question 7: What has been the hardest thing so far?
Dylan: The hardest thing has been figuring out what materials are needed and figuring out the new layout. I wouldn’t really say we have hit the hard stuff yet!
Madison: Probably the realization that this is not going to be perfect. I feel like I have put my whole heart into making sure that when the camper is done it is perfect, but I have come to realize that nothing is perfect or exactly like you imagined it to be, and that is okay.
Question 8: What has been the most rewarding thing you have done with the camper so far?
Dylan: Probably waterproofing the outside, and knowing that NO more water will get inside!
Madison: For me, it was ripping things out. Anyone that knows me, knows I love to break things! Soooo….that was really fun, and it felt like we were actually starting to make progress!
